The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences(FASS) of the Valley View University is organizing anInternational Conference on the theme: “Fostering Inclusiveness and  Partnerships for Sustainable Solutions to Africa’s Development Agenda: The Role of Government & Policy Makers, Universities, Industry& the Private Sector, Non-Governmental Organizations and the Community”. The Chair and Organizing Committee of the Conference is inviting abstract submissions on topical issues under the areas specified as follows:

The above themes are by no means exhaustive; other topics relevant to the theme are welcome. We are especially interested in new research that addresses emerging issues related to the central theme. The Conference will include an opening ceremony to be attended by the President of the Republic of Ghana and closing ceremonies.

Instructions for submitting an Abstract

You are invited to submit an abstract at the conference website [email protected]The abstract should not be more than 250 words and should highlight objectives, methodology and findings. Conceptual and theoretical papers will also be accepted. If you wish to be a discussant, kindly indicate this in your submission.

The submission must contain the Title of the Paper, Name (s), Department(s), Institution(s), and Email Address(s) of the corresponding author.

Conference Participants should note that selected full Papers not exceeding fifteen (15) pages shall be published in the West Africa Journal of Social Sciences and Regional Development.

Poster Presentation; Posters are accepted at this conference. Dimensions are 90cm (width) by 200cm (height)

NB: For visits to the Cape Coast Castle and Kakum National Park, participants would pay an additional GH 150.00 and $100.00 for Local and International participants respectively.

  • Full Paper Submission for those who wish to be considered for the special issue of journal: Friday, October 6th 2017
  • Organized Tour of CapeCoastCastle andKakum National Park: Friday, November 24th , 2017

Authors are encouraged to collaborate to form Panel Sessions. A panel comprises four papers. Submission for panel presentations should include a summary of 250 words maximum and an abstract for each Paper/ Presenter. The panelorganizer will be informed of the decision regarding the panel before individual panel members will be contacted.

Faculty members are strongly encouraged to team up with graduate students to form panels.
